Two iPhone apps support tweeting video in updates

Stone Design has launched Twittelator Pro 3.2, updating its Twitter client for the iPhone. The app has three built in themes, supports multiple accounts, can shoot, edit and tweet video on an iPhone 3GS and can record and tweet audio clips. It supports offline composing and automatically sends the tweet when back on a network. Twittelator Pro can save and reuse drafts, supports Cut/Copy/Paste/Select and Undo as well as retreating.

New accounting rules may boost Apple stock value

The US government has tentatively approved new accounting rules which could significantly impact the iPhone, and possibly the iPod touch, says Fortune. Under influence from corporations like Apple, TiVo and Xerox, the government has relented to pressure and made initial changes to regulations involving subscription accounting. Because Apple releases periodic software updates for the iPhone, the company has had to spread relevant revenue reporting across a two-year time period.

Bowers & Wilkins preps Zeppelin Mini speaker dock

B&W Zeppelin Mini for iPhone, iPod

Bowers & Wilkins on Monday reached out with a lower-priced version of its more audiophile-grade iPhone and iPod speaker dock. The Zeppelin Mini drops the ovoid shape of its predecessor but is noticeably smaller and still produces a very high 100W of total power. Also, a new rotating dock lets iPhone, iPod touch and iPod nano owners keep their devices in landscape mode for Cover Flow or movie watching.

Novell MonoTouch permits .NET development for iPhone

May expand accessibility for programmers

Through its open-source Mono Project, Novell has released MonoTouch 1.0, a software development kit for the iPhone and iPod touch. The SDK allows programming apps within Microsoft's .NET framework, which incorporates languages such as C#. Most iPhone development is handled using C and Objective-C, which Novell notes will necessarily exclude many people working with .NET.
