Updated software reaches App Store

Shutterfly has released v2.0 of its self-titled iPhone application. The software is tied to the company's image-hosting service, and allows users to view, submit and manage photos. The update lets users e-mail slideshow invitations to anyone in their contact list, or post images from a Shutterfly account to a Shutterfly Share website. Files hosted with the service can now be downloaded back to an iPhone or iPod.

Album options have been upgraded to support remote image deletion, and uploading to any album, rather than a specific "iPhone Pictures" path. When viewing albums the app will now group by folder, and resync when the Refresh button is tapped. Other enhancements include zoom gestures, as well as faster uploads. Shutterfly 2.0 is a free download.
