iLuv i1166 portable player arrives
Several months after it was announced, iLuv's i1166 portable player has started shipping today. The 9-inch device covers most forms of digital media and uses a notebook-style shell to accommodate both DVDs and all video-capable iPods; both movie discs and the Apple devices are put inside while users rely on an external display with a custom interface to navigate and watch videos. An SD card slot and a USB port also give it an option to play raw DiVx videos.
The player also handles typical music, though outside of iPods it only recognizes MP3 and WMA audio files. Those using physical discs can play formats like VCD and SVCD. iLuv expects the i1166 to arrive online and in stores by mid-October for $270.

But it doesn't say there's support...
for the most common XviD format which is usually the format of movies that are downloadable from Bittorrent and newsserver sites.
Doesn't even have SDHC support. How hard could that have been. It seems like a no brainer with Apple starting to support SDHC format in the MacBook Pros.
