Increases Mac, Windows support

onOne has launched DSLR Camera Remote Server 1.2, an update to its Canon EOS and Nikon DSLR remote-control software that works with an iPhone or iPod touch. The app provides tools for controlling the camera settings such as shutter speed or aperture, as well as the ability to view images shot on the camera from the user’s mobile device. Version 1.2 offers a series of bug fixes that deal with issues involving the Canon Rebel T1i not working properly on Windows, and the old Nikon Camera models causing an error when set to manual focus on a Mac.

Improvements include better permissions detection and warnings on a Mac, along with added support for the Nikon D300s. Other fixes deal with auto-focus issues in LiveView, and specifically with the Nikon D300s having problems when used in LiveView and Burst mode at the same time. Lastly, an issue with the bulb mode when using a Rebel T1i has also been dealt with.

DSLR Camera Remote requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher to work and is available in either a Lite version priced at $2, or a Pro version which costs $20.
