PixelSkin, CandyShell, Fitted cases
Speck has announced three case updates, covering the fifth-generation iPod nano and the second- and third-generation iPod touches: these fall under PixelSkin, CandyShell and Fitted lines. The new PixelSkin is a soft silicone case designed for the Nano, and provides protection against bumps and scrapes. Grip curves prevent slipping, and openings are present for access to ports, controls and the camera. The case comes only in a black color at the moment, with a pricetag of $20.
Both the CandyShell and Fitted are shaped for the Touch, with hard-shell casings. The CandyShell is a one-piece design, with a rubberized interior for improved shock resistance, and openings for all ports and controls. It comes in variety of styles including Cranberry White Truffle and Aqua Berry Blue, and costs $35.
The Fitted has a leather exterior covering its shell, and uses a two-piece snap-together design. It likewise provides access to all ports and controls, however, and comes in three patterns: Cherry Plum, Lovely Roger Grey or Lovely Roger Pink. Fitted cases are $30 each.
