Tech reduces background noise by 85%
Audio-Technica has released its latest noise-canceling headphones, the ATH-ANC7b QuietPoint. The active noise-canceling technology is claimed to reduce background noise by up to 85 percent. A closed-back design houses large-aperture 40mm drivers with neodymium magnets, which reproduce sound from 10Hz to 25.5KHz with a sensitivity of 109dB and a 300 ohm impedance.
The system runs on a single AAA-size battery for an average run time of 40 hours, although users will be able to use the headphones even if the noise-canceling battery is dead. The headphones feature a fold-flat design for travel, while the package includes a 1/4-inch adapter, airline adapter, and a carrying case.
The ATH-ANC7b is now available for a suggested retail price of $220.

I think this whole idea of Noise Canceling Headphones is really great. These headphones really work and totally do cancel out any background noise. I just bought a pair which work extremely well. I used the on my last airplane trip an i must tell you that i could barely hear a sound around me. It was wonderful. I really think everyone should own a pair of these. This is where i got mine from - Noise Canceling Headphones
