Sega launches Super Monkey Ball 2 for iPhone, iPod touch

Sega has released Super Monkey Ball 2, a sequel to its earlier game for the iPhone and iPod touch. Players rely on touch and accelerometer controls to roll a monkey through an obstacle course, collecting bananas along the way. The game offers four monkeys to choose from, and 115 different levels.

Also present is Wi-Fi multiplayer, in which gamers can compete against as many as three other players on any level. Several mini-games are planned; Monkey Bowling is already available, and Monkey Golf and Monkey Target are scheduled for release early next year. The full game is available from the App Store for $10.
