New version adds custom categories, voiceover

FutureTap has released an update to its point-of-interest (POI) finder, Where to?, for the iPhone and iPod touch. The POI app locates and maps local restaurants, banks, shopping centers and other public locations. Content is organized into more than 600 categories and 2200 unique brands. The utility also reloads POI information as users move from one area to another.

Version 2.5 introduces support for NAVIGON's MobileNavigator app, allowing users to instantly switch to the GPS utility for navigation instructions after selecting a POI. The update now supports user-specified custom categories and adds voiceover support for visually impaired users.

Where to? 2.5 requires iPhone OS 3.0 and works on any iPhone or iPod touch. It is now available on the iTunes App Store for $3.
