PDF Reflow leaves its beta stage

Good.iWare on Thursday released a new version of its PDF viewer app for the iPhone and iPod touch, GoodReader 2.4. Optimized for large PDF or TXT file viewing, the program provides file searching features and enables users to download content from the web simply by entering URLs. Version 2.4 finalizes the PDF Reflow function, which was previously available as a beta, and allows users to extract text from a PDF page for displaying as a TXT file.

The PDF Reflow feature helps users view large files on a small screen by extracting text and eliminating extras such as images or page margins. It also offers word-wrapping capabilities and customizable formatting options such as font size and text color alteration. Both file sharing and management have also been improved, along with added support for MobileMe iDisk or MyDisk.se file-storing servers. The update also allows users to Zip or Unzip files without leaving the app.

GoodReader can be downloaded directly from the App Store and is currently available for a discounted price of $1, with its regular price set at $5.
