Software distributes forms over Wi-Fi

Widget Press has launched a new form-based application development tool, FormEntry 1.0 for Mac. The software is claimed to allow developers of any skill level to create form-based iPhone apps. The company also offers a complementary FormEntry iPhone app, which works in conjunction with the desktop utility. It can communicate and sync with iPhones and iPod touches via Wi-Fi, while users can set forms to expire at a certain time or date.

The software, working in a single-user interface, supports native controls and components while offering a real-time preview of the builds. It can transform groupings into drilldowns and build tab-bar sections for multiple-section creations.

FormEntry 1.0 for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher, a 1.25GHz or faster Intel chip and 1GB of RAM. An Internet connection and a Wi-Fi network are also required, along with iPhone OS 3.0 or newer. The software can be bought for $40 with a single-user license, while a five-user license costs $160. There are 25-user ($700) and 100-user ($2000) licenses as well.
