Tunebug at CES unveiled a new line of mobile speaker products, the Shake and the Vibe. Both products feature are claimed to generate sound waves that pass through different surfaces. Shake is a portable sound generator that is said to replicate surround sound within many bike and skateboard helmets. Users can connect the device to iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones, as well as any other portable music device that utilizes Bluetooth technology or audio cables. It features a rechargeable battery with up to 5 hours of playback, while recharging requires a USB cable.
Vibe is a portable SurfaceSound speaker which can be placed on a variety of different surfaces. It also provides a rechargeable battery that offers up to five hours of playtime and recharging via USB. It connects to any mobile device that has a 3.5mm audio jack. The housing measures approximately 2.3 x 1 inches in size, with a weight of approximately 5.3 oz.
Vibe is currently available from tunebug.com for $70, while Shake is expected to be released at the end of this month for $120.
