Mixes old, new GTA styles

Rockstar Games has released a new version of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. The title is a conversion of the Nintendo DS game, and has players assume the role of Huang Lee, a man sent to aid his uncle in controlling the Liberty City Triads. Players are otherwise free to explore the city, participating in side missions or personal crime sprees.

The game combines the narrative style of Grand Theft Auto IV with the top-down action of the first two GTA games. Players can also become involved in the drug trade, and must participate in certain mini-games to accomplish tasks like stealing a car. Chinatown Wars costs $10, and requires iPhone OS 3.1.2; Touches running the game must be second-generation or later.

    Hooray

Praise Jebus! My favorite game franchise (Carmageddon is a close second) comes to my favorite portable gaming device. And there was much rejoicing.
