The US Army has launched an official app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The title lets users access news, images and videos from the Army website. In addition to news and media the app includes a tile-based strategy game, and information on ranks, equipment, uniforms and the Army song.

Toon Boom lowers prices for several products

Said to be in response to requests, Toon Boom has lowered the costs of some of its products. Studio, Storyboard, Pencil Check Pro and Animate are affected, resulting in price drops between 17 and 50 percent. Joan Vogelesang, the company's CEO, claims that the decision was made to give beginning animators access to software for personal and professional work.
