Apple runs contest for $10,000 iTunes card

The iTunes Store is nearing its 10 billionth song download, Apple has announced. To help push sales towards the milestone, the company has launched a contest, in which the person to download the 10 billionth song could win a $10,000 iTunes gift card. People can also enter the contest without buying anything by completing a form.

Participants must be 13 years or older, and a resident of the US or a select group of other countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Norway or the UK. The contest is also limited to 25 entries per day, and will end the moment after the 10 billionth download. The iTunes Store has been active since 2003, has since expanded past music to sell video, games and iPhone apps.
