iTunes Preview grows to include app categories

Apple has made another expansion of iTunes Preview, its second in less than a month. Visitors to Preview can now browse app categories, having only recently gained the option of viewing individual app pages. Most categories simply display a collection of popular apps, with the ability to sort alphabetically. The Games selection includes a list of subcategories, ranging from Action and Adventure through to Strategy, Trivia and Word titles.
Preview serves as a promotional tool for Apple, allowing people who have not downloaded iTunes to see what's available at the iTunes Store. The same system that lets people browse apps also shows music and podcasts. Still inaccessible are the store's videos, although movies are covered to a small extent through Apple's trailer page.
