Vivienne Tam designs Monster earbuds
Monster on Thursday releaased special edition Butterfly headphones designed by Vivienne Tam. Based on the designer's Butterfly Lovers theme from the Spring 2010 fashion collection, the earbuds have an all-metal housing that reduces resonance. A cable management system has a built-in slider and clip that will keep the weight off the headphones, reducing stress on a wearer's ears.
Added comfort comes from included slip-on rubber covers in multiple shapes and sizes for a specific user's ear. Like other more recent Monster earphones, the set has a built-in mic and a one-button in-line remote control that is compatible with iPhones and iPods for answering calls and stopping or switching tracks.
Exactly when the headphones ship is unknown, but they will cost $200.
In the past, Vivienne Tam has also worked with HP to create a specially designed Mini 1000 netbook.
