Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kenya among notable nations
Developers can now submit apps for sale in 13 more App Stores, Apple has announced. Notable European countries in the expansion include Armenia, Bulgaria and Macedonia. The bulk of added territories are African, specifically Botswana, Kenya, Mali, Madagascar, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, Tunisia and Uganda. The one remaining country is Jordan, in the Middle East.
In order to take advantage of the new regions, developers must either manually alter their iTunes Connect settings, or have the "Sell in New Territories" option selected. The App Store is now accessible throughout most of the world, reflecting the distribution of the iPhone and/or the iPod touch. iPad plans remain unclear for a lot of regions, with prices and/or release dates yet to be solidified.
