Conference for beginning iPhone developers

A development conference has been set up for individuals looking to learn iPhone development, while Big Nerd Ranch has announced it will be holding a Cocoa I Bootcamp course in Germany later this year.

Details of the upcoming DevDay for iPhone taking place in London, England have been set. The meeting will happen on April 26th at Dexter House, and offer presentations from Raven Zachary and Daniel Steinberg. The conference is meant for software developers and business professionals aiming to learn not only how to build iPhone apps, but also how to market them. Anyone wanting to attend can find addition information and registration details online. A pass costs $545, and includes conference materials plus access to presentations, workshops, and an evening networking event.

Cocoa I Bootcamp to be held in Germany

Big Nerd Ranch Europe has announced that it will be running its Cocoa I Bootcamp in Germany from April 19th through to the 23rd. The five-day course is based on the book Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X by Aaron Hillegass, and does not requires attendees to have previous Cocoa or Objective-C knowledge. It is suggested however that students be familiar with an object-oriented language such as Java or C++. This year's course will be taught by Scott Ritchie, a Cocoa veteran who worked as a systems engineer and lead developer trainer at NeXT. Registration costs $3,800, but students who sign up before March 15th will receive an early-bird price and save $275.
