iPad gets charger, six new bag options

As the launch of Apple's iPad grows near, three more manufacturers, Kensington, Uniea and Fabrix, have introduced accessories for the new Apple device. Kensington has launched a PowerBolt Micro Car Charger for iPad, which carries 2.1 Amps of power to feed an iPad, iPhone or iPod. It has a detachable USB cable and an LED power indicator light. The charger ships April 3 for $25. Kensington will also ship two bags of the iPad -- the Kensington Reversible Sleeve for iPad and the Kensington Sling Bag for iPad. The sleeve is a neoprene soft case, with reversible sides, one black and one gray. It is available now for $10. The Sling Bag is a shoulder-strap messenger-bag style case that fits an iPad and accessories. It has a soft interior compartment for the iPad, an interior accessory compartment for a wallet and keys and an external pocket for a mobile phone. It ships April 30 for $20.

Uniea has launched three new bags for the iPad, the U-Sleaf, the U-Skin and the Omniverse. The U-Sleaf is a sleeve-style neoprene bag that has a wave-shaped flap that closes without Velcro or zippers. It is reversible for multiple color options. The multi-color/brown combination will ship in early April, with four other reversible colors shipping later for $20. The U-Skin case is a shell case made of silicone, assigned to be slim with full port and button access. It will feature a high-shine finish and be available in black and white in early April with red and neon blue to follow shortly -- prices have not been announced. Uniea's Omniverse uses memory foam to protect the iPad and has a soft silk or nylon exterior that when opened still anchors and protects the iPad. It is available now for $30.

Fabrix has announced its Magic Sleeve, a form-fitting sleeve case that has a pillow flap design to anchor the iPad within the case when in motion. It is lined with padding to protect the iPad and is checkpoint friendly for travel. It is shipping now in 10 different print/color options for $33.
