Monster outs Beats by Dr. Dre Red Sox Editions

Monster Cable, Dr. Dre, Major League Baseball and the Boston Red Sox organization teamed up to release the first Major League Baseball licensed Beats headphones with the Beats by Dr. Dre Red Sox Edition headphones. Other than the Red Sox logo and a unique color scheme, the new headphones are technically identical to the existing Beats headphones from Monster Cable, the Beats, which can be had in black or white. This includes powered ambient noise-isolation, Monster's iSoniTalk microphone adapter for the iPhone and other music-capable handsets with a 3.5mm headset jack.

The headphones fold for easier carrying, and include a rigid case. A mini- to quarter-inch adapter is included for home stereos, as are two AAA batteries. The Beats by Dr. Dre Red Sox Edition are now available in Best Buy, Apple and other retailers, as well as online at Monster Cable, for $400, representing a $50 premium over the standard Beats headphones.

    WTF

Yes, because nothing says "I'm a cool DJ" like plugging a baseball team. These will go over like a lead balloon.

    Re: WTF

Um, apparently you don't know the fanaticism some have with the Red Sox.

And, BTW, those iconic white earbuds are worn as much to show "Look at me, I've got an iPod" as they were to listen to music.
