Eco-Vue leather case doubles as stand

ColcaSac, Marware, and Targus have all introduced new protective cases for the recently released iPad. ColcaSac’s new self-titled iPad sleeves are made of a 18.5oz basketweave hemp canvas that’s lined with thick polyester sherpa fleece. While previously released for the MacBook, the iPad version is also designed to guard all sides of the device from possible bumps and scratches. A large Velcro strip is used to keep the iPad in place and a little pocket is included in the front. Five different styles are available for these cases including the Original, Black ColcaSac, Red Delicious, and Passion Vine.

Marware has launched the Eco-Vue for iPad, a new folio style leather case that can be used as a protective guard as well as a low-angle tabletop stand. The case is made from RoHS complaint leather and features both an elastic closure strap and fold-over tab to help keep the iPad secure and protected. To help with transporting the case also offers an integrated hand strap on the back.

Targus has unveiled three new cases for the iPad, including the Hughes Leather Portfolio Slipcase, Crave Slipcase, and A7 Neoprene Sleeve. With the portfolio slipcase users receive an iPad guard made from oil-tanned leather, and lined with a soft twill to help prevent scratches on the display. The slipcase is currently available in either a Black or Brown colors.

The Crave Slipcase is designed to be both durable and weather-resistant, and features a stain-guard coating to help protect its surface. It comes in either a Black or Silver version, and includes both stow-away top handles, as well as an integrated accessory pocket.

The last item in Targus’s new line of iPad cases is the A7 Neoprene Sleeve. With the case users receive a Tri-Cell Cushion System which integrates neoprene and air-ventilating mesh fabric, along with built-in layers of protective foams. It also comes in a variety of different colors such as Black, Blue, Brown, and Plum.

Cases from both ColcaSac and Marware are currently available, and priced at $35 for the ColcaSac or $45 for the Eco-Vue. The Targus cases vary in price from $25 to $60 and are planned for release during the beginning of April.
