Griffin also ships PowerDuo for iPad

Griffin has announced iPad compatibility for three new chargers. The Mac, iPhone, iPod and iPad accessory maker has launched PowerJolt options with 2.1-amp power capability, allowing them to charge iPads which require a heavier power draw than iPhones and iPods. The PowerJolt Plus for iPad features a pass-through port for another car-charging unit, while still powering an iPad, iPhone or iPod with a dock connector. It allows users to power their Apple product and still power a GPS or USB-based item via a second 12-volt connector. It has a built-in SmartFuse and uses a coiled charging cable.

The PowerJolt Micro for iPad is a miniaturized 12-volt adapter with a removable iPad dock cable, allowing users to alternatively charge any other device using a USB cable. The micro adaptor works in almost all 12-volt adapter ports thanks to its small sizing, while a SmartFuse provides protection for the vehicle circuitry. It works with iPads, iPhones, iPods and USB-based devices.

Griffin's PowerJolt SE for iPad has a low-profile 12-volt adapter and coiled-cord dock adapter with an LED readout indicating when the unit is receiving power. It features a SmartFuse and works with iPads, iPhones and iPods.

Griffin also announced it is now shipping its PowerDuo for iPad, a combo of AC- and DC-powered chargers for the iPad. It is priced at $40. The PowerJolt Plus for iPad is also now shipping for $30. The PowerJolt Micro and PowerJolt SE are listed as coming soon, with pricing not announced.
