Cambridge SoundWorks ships i525 iPod dock

Cambridge SoundWorks on Monday introduced a new iPod speaker system, the SoundWorks i525. It's the company's first SoundWorks system with support for its parent label Creative's X-Fi audio processing to restore detail to compressed tracks. The system sports two speakers powered by actively equalized stereo amplifier,s while a smart volume leveler will retain a consistent sound across all sources.

There are dual alarms, and users have the option of waking up to songs on their iPhone or iPod, a radio station or buzzer. A snooze function can be customized at between 5 and 30 minutes. A remote control is included, and there is an aux-in jack for connecting other audio sources.

The SoundWorks i525 costs $150.
