iHome outs iPod dock with built-in battery
iHome on Tuesday released its iP46 Portable Rechargeable Stereo Speaker System for the iPhone and iPod. The system has four speakers housed in what the accessory builder calls Reson8 chambers, which reportedly improve their impact, and SRS WOW processing colors the final sound. A built-in lithium ion battery can provide 10 hours of audio playback on a full charge.
The dock has a shelf-like dock that will retract into the body of the speaker when not in use. There is also a 3.5mm input for connecting source devices via their headphone output.
The iP46 is now available for $100.
