Improved power-consumption management

Cirago has unveiled a new line of micro USB Bluetooth adapters, the Class 2 BTA3310and Class 1 BTA6310. Both items run on the newer Bluetooth 3.0 technology, and include EDR support for both 2Mbps and 3Mbps speeds. The newer technology brings improved power consumption management and better handling of encryption keys. T

While both Bluetooth adapters share many of the same features, they do offer a different range capacity. The Class 2 BTA3310 has a typical Bluetooth range of 33 feet, and the Class 1 model can support a distance of up to 328 feet. Each adapter still has a compact compact design.

The Class 2 BTA3310 and Class 1 BTA6310 adapters require Mac OS X 10.1.4 or higher, and are slated to reach stores by the end of June. The Class 2 model costs $30, while the Class 1 is priced at $40.
