Version 2.6 adds 64-bit support in Snow Leopard
Eltima Software has updated its multi-platform sync software, SyncMate 2.6. SyncMate allows users to sync between Macs, PCs, Android devices, Windows Mobile phones, the Nokia S40, Sony PlayStation Portables and USB flash drives. It can also sync with Google accounts, back up Mac data online, or simultaneously sync all connected devices.
Version 2.6 adds support for Bonjour and 64-bit operation on Macs, allowing SyncMate to automatically find all networked computers that have SyncMate installed. The update adds music, video and photo support. Users can sync music and videos directly into an iTunes playlist, or place images into an iPhoto album. Online storage is now encryptable and files can be excluded from folder syncs.
The latest version can sync content between Windows-based Opera utilities and Mail, Entourage or Address Book on Macs. It now syncs Safari bookmarks across the Mac and Windows versions of the browser.
SyncMate 2.6 runs on Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, with a choice between 32- and 64-bit operation on Snow Leopard. Other variants are compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista; Windows Mobile Pocket 5, Smartphone 5, v6 Standard/Classic/Professional, v6.1 and v6.5; and any PSP running firmware 2.7.1 or higher.
The software arrives in two versions -- the free version is limited to Address Book and iCal sync with Google support and limited analysis functions for Windows Mobile devices. The Expert version adds all of the missing features and costs $40 for a single license, or $60 for a family pack with six licenses.
