Walt Disney Studios has launched Disney Movies, a new iPad app that provides access to a wide range of Disney titles. The video-enabled app allows users to preview recent movie trailers, or purchase DVDs and Blu-ray discs through supported online retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and the Disney Store. Aside from the trailers, users can also browse a synopsis of featured movies or look up information regarding the showtimes of Disney films being played at local theaters.

Purchasing options allow users to obtain movie tickets through supported web-based services, while digital copies are available via iTunes and Vudu. Other features include a soon-to-be-released list of movies and bonus material for select films. Finally, an integrated map is included for finding local theaters and nearby areas.

Disney Movies is available as a free download from the App Store.
