FaceTime spreading to all Apple handhelds?
Photos shared by an iPhone parts supplier reinforce the notion that the fourth-generation iPod touch will have a front- as well as a rear-facing camera. The images depict both sides of a Touch's front panel, with a cutout for the Home button matched by a smaller lens-sized hole on the opposite end. One photo shows a cable stamped "Apple (C) 2010;" a more specific date, April 29th 2010, can be found in the other image.
Very similar photos emerged in early July. Combined with software evidence, it may now be almost certain that the new Touch will support FaceTime video calls, like the iPhone 4. It's also believed that the second-generation iPad will have a front-facing camera, since pre- and post-release parts both contain space for a MacBook-like webcam. Apple is expected to unveil new iPods in September, as usual.

The more important question is whether the 960 x 640 screen is going into the new iPod touch.
I'd bet it will start at 16GB.
