App Store terms change to allow educational discounts

Could encourage iPad adoption
Apple has made another revision to developer terms at the App Store, reports say. Studios can now enable a 50 percent educational discount for their titles, so long as buying institutions agree to pay for multiple downloads. In order to toggle the price cut, developers must tick a special checkbox during the submission process.
The initiative is likely intended to encourage the creation of more educational iOS titles, which have been relatively marginal in terms of sales so far. Apple may in particular be interested in sparking adoption of the iPad at schools. iPad apps can be significantly more expensive than their iPhone and iPod counterparts, making it impractical for some schools to buy a collection of tablets and all the apps they want.

Alright!
And as soon as this hits, we'll start hearing from the yard-sale cheapskates about all these blasted developers being 'cheap' and not offering an educational discount on their $4 app.
