Ilium brings eWallet to Mac, sync support for iPhone or iPad

eWallet stores passwords, credit cards, accounts

Ilium Software has ported its password manager, eWallet 7.1, to the Mac platform. The software stores information with 256-bit AES encryption, tracking all of a user's passwords. eWallet owners can create complex, unique passwords instead of relying on one or two easy-to-remember combinations for financial websites. The software can also sync between a Mac and another computer or an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Users can store passwords, credit cards numbers, bank accounts, security verification questions and other sensitive information.

The Mac version of eWallet features a Mac-centric redesign of the user interface. It has customizable card icons and backgrounds with 30 pre-built templates. The software syncs with Macs, Windows systems BlackBerries, Andriod handsets and Windows Mobile devices. Content can be migrated over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, while the eWallet iPhone app can be used to securely sync to iOS devices over Wi-Fi.

eWallet 7.1 for Mac costs $20 -- the single license also works for other platforms such as Windows and Android. The iPhone utility, available on the App Store, commands an additional $10.

    Long overdue

I've been a user of eWallet for so long that I can't remember. (I started on my Palm III). It's been a long time that I've waited for a Mac version.
