REVO announces upcoming digital radio
U.S. Cellular has announced that it will be launching the BlackBerry Bold 9650 on August 18th. The 9650 features the same 3.2-megapixel camera, 480x360 display, and GPS as the Tour, but adds Wi-Fi functionality, along with the updated trackpad. The device ships with BlackBerry OS 5.0 and is said to be compatible with the upcoming OS 6 update that was announced earlier this month. Carrier specific features include access to several U.S. Cellular applications, such as My Contacts Backup, Tone Room Deluxe, and Your Navigator Deluxe. Official pricing information is yet to be released, but the company's site should be updated with new information soon.
Revo to launch Last.fm enabled radio in October
A new color touchscreen digital radio featuring multi-format radio reception, iPod/iPhone docking, wireless audio streaming, and access to online music services, has been released by Revo. The AXiS is capable of receiving a range of digital radio standards, including DAB, DAB+, and internet radio, providing users with access to more than 13,000 international stations. In addition, a free 31 day Last.fm trial is also included with the purchase of an AXiS, providing users access to the music service's complete library.
The devices sound comes from an 8W class D amplifier and NXT's Balanced Radiator loudspeaker technology, which combines the performance attributes of an NXT flat panel speaker, with the pistonic movement of a conventional loudspeaker.
The AXiS carries a price equivalent to $312, and will be available at John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, Apple Store Comet, Selfridges, Harrods, and Next Directory, starting October 1.
