Alleged fourth-gen iPod touch part goes on sale

Bears similarity to earlier photos

A Chinese online store, run by an iPhone parts supplier, is now selling what it claims to be the front panel for a fourth-generation iPod touch. The part notably has two main holes, one for the Home button and the other for what is likely a front-facing camera. The product is selling for 650 yuan ($95), said to have been acquired through a "special channel."

A marking on one of the cables reads "Apple (C) 2010," as in some earlier photos. The layout of the panel in fact resembles photos dating back to July, which may back the legitimacy of the new leak. Apple is also likely to announce new iPods in September, as usual, meaning that a new Touch would probably be in production by late August.

The player is expected to absorb many of the advances of the iPhone 4, such as FaceTime, a Retina Display and an A4 processor. It may also include a rear-facing camera, a feature thought to have been pulled from the third-generation device at the last minute. No rumors have indicated whether or not the fourth-generation Touch will increase in storage capacity, or add other iPhone touches like a GPS receiver.

    Special channel.

Surely, completely legal too. Gotta love the morals over there....

    Chinese don't have exclusivity

on immoral behavior. For instance: the Gizmodo iPhone4 theft/scoop, Bill Clinton, any Hollywood star, and the list goes on. The Chinese being one of the first "civilized" nations on Earth certainly may claim immorality as one of their few legitimate inventions though.
