Ultimate Ears intros new headphones, headsets
Logitech's audio label Ultimate Ears has released a new lineup of earphones and headsets for mobile devices. The earphones include the Ultimate Ears 500, Ultimate Ears 350 and Ultimate Ears 200. There are also the Ultimate Ears 500vi and Ultimate Ears 200vi headsets for iPhones, BlackBerry phones and any other devices with a 3.5mm audio jack.
The $70 Ultimate Ears 500 models have a 16Ohm at 1kHz impedance, and a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response, along with a 105dB SPL/mW at 1kHz impedance. They sit flush in a user's ear and have a flat cable that eliminates tangles.
The $50 Ultimate Ears 350 headphones are tuned for hip-hop, house and electronic music with deeper bass. They are made for active users, withstanding sweat during workouts.
The Ultimate Ears 200 earbuds can be had in pink, black or blue for $30. Their specs include a 107 dB/mW at 1kHz sensitivity, a 20Hz-15kHz frequency response and a 16Ohm impedance. All three include five sets of eartips for finding an ideal fit.
The $80 Ultimate Ears 500vi and $40 Ultimate Ears 200vi offer an integrated microphone for use with iPhones or Blackberry devices. iPhone and iPod users can navigate tracks and control the volume thanks to the in-line remote. The 200vi can be hand in pink, blue or black, and share technical specs with the 200 headphones, while the 500vi is only available in black and shares specs with the 500 headphones.
The Ultimate Ears 500 and 500vi include a pair of foam tips for isolating out unwanted noise. All these new headsets and headphones include protective cases and ship in September.
