Sales will support music education program
Harmon has partnered with music legend Quincy Jones for the new Quincy Jones Signature Line. Three headsets will be produced under the AKG brand. The Q701 "reference" over-the-ears set uses high-performance neodymium magnets and an open-backed design, and uses a full-size stereo plug.
The Q460 on-ear mini headphones use a regular 3.5mm stereo cord with gold-plated jack plugs and adapters for 2.5mm or full plugs, and folds completely flat. The Q360 earbuds also support the adapters and come with a carrying case and cable winder. Both the Q460 headphones and Q350 earbuds have an in-line microphone for use with smartphones and iPod-compatible play/pause/skip controls.
All three designs in the Quincy Jones Signature Line will be available in black, green, and white.
Harmon says the headphones will be available in October. The Q701 Premium Class Reference Headphones will retail for $480, the Q460 Mini On-Ear Headphones for $230, and the Q350 In-Ear buds for $150. A portion of each sale will be donated to the Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium to benefit music education.

More like paid him a lot of cash for the use of his name. Ol' Quincy could care less about the product, as long as it makes him appear to be relevant and positive.
