Nanos share similar timeline
(Updated with Shuffle info) The first online orders of the new iPod touch are now shipping out from Apple, buyers point out. At least some orders should be delivered later this week, although others are being pegged as arriving next week, in a few cases as late as the 17th. The sixth-generation iPod nano should meanwhile be on the verge of shipping along the same timelines, if orders are not already en route.
The latest Touch carriers over a number of iPhone 4 features, including a Retina Display, an A4 processor and forward- and rear-facing cameras. The Nano has switched to touchscreen controls, while shrinking even further and gaining an iOS-like interface. Both iPods are officially slated to become available this week, though it's unclear when they will appear in retail stores.
Update: The fourth-generation Shuffle is now said to be shipping as well, and should arrive in some places by Friday.
