ChuChu Rocket to be on iPhone, iPad

Several of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto games are making their way to new Apple platforms. Just out is the iPad version of Chinatown Wars, which was previously limited to the iPhone, iPod touch and Nintendo DS. On the iPad the game is still $10, but with sharper resolution, more detailed 3D and new visual effects. The Mac should meanwhile be getting three older GTA games later this year; these include GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas.

In other gaming news, Sega says it will soon bring ChuChu Rocket to the iPhone and iPad. Originally released for the Dreamcast, the game is a puzzle title in which players guide mice into rocketships while avoiding wandering cats. The main mode has 100 levels, which have been reworked to play better on touchscreens.

There is also a 25-level Challenge Mode, and a 25-level multiplayer mode for one to four human or AI players. In the latter, teams or individuals compete to gather the most mice possible. Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth connections are being supported, along with single-device multiplayer on the iPad. The game should arrive at the App Store in late October.

    How was this approved

    How did GTA get approved?

Isn't GTA about killing other people, stealing cars, drugs, etc? Why would Apple allow this type of content in the App Store?

    iPad YES!

I got it for my iPad and it runs really well.
It's good to see Apple gear finally getting some equal billing.

Chu Chu Rocket was so good...there were so many excellent games on the Dreamcast.

Imagine Panzer Dragoon with the gyroscope and touch...or Jet Grind Radio!

Graffiti in touch would pretty much be tops...do it Sega!
