Mac Developer & IT conference runs Nov. 3-5 in LA

The MacTech 2010 Conference -- register with this link for a $50 MacNN discount -- is adding details for the Apple Certification exam being offered on the final day. The conference has two tracks, one for IT professionals and another for Apple developers. The three-day event, which takes place at the Sheraton Universal in Universal City, will have mobile and desktop sessions focusing on the Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod. There will also be special speakers, a MacTech Bowl and Apple Certification testing.

The Apple Certification testing will have two options. The first, a $200 value that is included in the conference cost, is for those who want to take a current Apple Certification exam. MacTech is offering a study session and exam on-site immediately following the conference. The second option is a $100 discount for attendees who do not have a need for the exam.

The conference offers a kickoff keynote by Andy Ihnatko at 10am on Wednesday, Nov. 3 and two special evening events. A list of conference sessions describes each track's presenters and topics, with 34 choices currently available. The MacTech Conference 2010 costs $900 --see the above link to save $50-- with a reduced rate on the hotel stay. Registration runs through October 11.
