ZTE Peel iPod case w 3G gets November 14 leak
Sprint's upcoming ZTE Peel 3G-capable iPod touch case has been given a tentative date in a leak this afternoon. The wireless sled could reach its carrier on November 14. BGR didn't get the price of the case itself from its source but understood it would qualify for the same $30, 1GB contract-free plan as the Galaxy Tab.
The Peel is a potentially more space-efficient alternative to a MiFi or a similar pocket router by protecting the iPod while still sharing a 3G connection with both Apple's device and other Wi-Fi devices in the area. Although it superficially resembles a battery case like a mophie Juice Pack, the battery would solely power the router and wouldn't have a Dock Connector to either charge or connect the iPod.
Despite the name, ZTE's device doesn't have any known connection to the Apple Peel 520, which adds phone features but requires a jailbreak and may face legal action.
