Latest Gear 4 dock gets Internet radio support

Gear 4 has showed off its latest iPhone and iPod dock, the House Party AirWave. The design is the first from the UK company that has access to Internet radio stations. Users can also now control the dock over Wi-Fi thanks to a free app, including when the Apple handheld is docked.

Navigation options include searching for and tuning to Internet, DAB and FM radio stations. Controlling a docked iPod or iPhone is also possible, but requires a second iOS device to do so. The app will show song title, artist and radio station information. The dock itself has two three-inch, 20W speakers, a 3.5mm auxiliary input and media streaming support from storage devices.

The House Party Airwave is priced at the equivalent of $236 (£150) in the UK and is now shipping. There is no indication if or when the device will arrive in North America. [via Pocket-Lint]
