Firemint Real Racing 2 out now for iPhone and iPod touch

Up 16 players online, an iOS first


Firemint has released Real Racing 2 for the iPhone and iPod touch. The eagerly anticipated iOS title brings 16 player online racing, which is a first for the platform. The second-generation game features 30 highly detailed cars including the 2010 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500, the 2010 Nissan GT-R (R35) and the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C. Its career mode alone offers gamers over 10 hours of gameplay.

Real Racing 2 has been in development for 18 months with a budget of $2 million by a team of 38 Firemint employees. It graphics engine is powered by Firemint’s Mint 3D engine, which also delivers realistic driving physics. A video of the gameplay is included below.

The original Real Racing was an Apple Design Award winner, with the free version of the game Real Racing GTI having been downloaded over 7 million times.

Real Racing 2 is available now on the Apple iTunes App Store for $10.
