App free, 'premium' tracks extra
Tapulous has released Tap Tap Revenge 4, the latest iteration of the developer's long-running music game series for the iPhone and iPod touch. Players rack up high scores by tapping onscreen targets in time with beats. TTR4 includes over 100 free tracks from the likes of No Doubt, Megadeth, The Killers and Benny Benassi. "Premium" tracks are extra, however, as are accessories for a person's in-game avatar.
Feature upgrades include Retina Display support, which is matched by a redesigned interface. The title has also gained Game Center support, along with continually updated global scoreboards. Some other changes include a new Arcade mode, and the ability to "like" tracks and see the avatars of similarly-minded players.
TTR4 is a free download, requiring only a device running iOS 3.x or later. Premium track packs typically cost between $1 and $3. Tapulous is promising a new free track every week.
