Concentrates on industry tracking

LinkedIn has added a News feed to its iPhone app, which has been updated to v3.6. The News aggregator focuses on specific industries a person works in or markets to. Users can select the industries they want to follow, see what contacts have shared, and share headlines themselves. Articles can be archived for later reading.

A second module, Buzz, tracks the conversations, trends and topics surrounding industries a person is interested in. It can provide data on how often a company is mentioned, and what words are most often associated with the firm in question.

The app requires iOS 3.0 or higher, and works on all iOS platforms. It's a free download from the App Store.
