Altec Lansing Octiv 650 speakers give iOS video

Altec Lansing expanded the reach of its iPhone and iOS speaker docks with the video-capable Octiv 650. It carries both component and RCA video out to broadcast video from nearly any supporting app, including Netflix. Audio is also relatively rich through a four-inch subwoofer and two three-inch drivers.

The front-and-center cradle is pitched as a way to highlight Altec Lansing's own Music Mood app, a hybrid visualizer and player app. An aux-in jack provides audio to the iPod shuffle or any other device that can't dock directly.

Octiv 650 units should start hitting stores in May for about $200.
