RedEye Pro brings whole-home automation to users

ThinkFlood, maker of home automation products, has just released its latest and greatest product, the RedEye Pro home automation controller. Once set up, users can control their home's ventilation system, lights, sprinklers, security system and other connected systems using their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or home computer and soon, Android devices as well. The RedEye Pro has eight, dual-purpose 3.5mm infrared emitters and contact closure sensor ports.

There are otherwise four contact closure arrays, two RS-232 ports, four USB ports and an Ethernet connection. Wi-Fi is built-in as well. The interface gives users one-button control to start activities such as watching a movie or TV, listening to music, turning off all the lights or starting another task that requires powering up multiple devices and switching sources.

The controller is now available, though only through authorized installers and dealers, so prices haven't been made public.
