Also adds AirPrint, PDF options

Apple-owned FileMaker has released major updates of its FileMaker Go apps for the iPhone and iPad, bringing them up to v1.2. In both cases the apps now support FileMaker charts, which can assume bar, line, area or pie form. Chart data can be pulled from FileMaker Pro, or else through SQL. Reports created with FileMaker Pro 11 can be viewed and edited in Go.

Another addition is digital signatures, which can be captured for purposes such as receipts, invoices, surveys and contracts. Any signed document can be either be exported or uploaded to a database hosted via FileMaker Server. More minor changes include AirPrint support, and the ability save and/or email PDF files.

The iPhone and iPad versions of FileMaker Go are separate App Store downloads. The iPhone edition costs $20, while the iPad release is $40. Three "Starter Solutions" for the apps include demonstrations, samples and 30-day trials of FileMaker Pro 11.

    Nice!

To me, this is one of those apps that separate the iPad from other tablets.

I wonder if they've fixed the perceved slowness whenever you change records/layouts, etc. as it looks like it redraws block by block even on my iPad2

Guess will soon know ... good to see they're working on it!
