Sleep helper attempting to overcome early problems

Despite early problems surrounding the WakeMate sleep helper, the device has been improved with new software features on the associated iOS, Android and BlackBerry apps. The company has reportedly achieved better accuracy for the wristband battery meter, while providing a deeper level of sleep analytics. Customers can also choose to purchase a larger wristband, if the original design is too small to wear comfortably.

Version 2.0 of the mobile apps brings an overhauled UI, enabling users to view all of their nights in a single table. The iPad variant offers split views for the alarm and data panels, while users can record multiple nights while away from a data connection. The interface also offers sync tags, which can be viewed in a table.

WakeMate's motion-sensing wristband is available directly from the company for $60. [via TechCrunch]
