JVC UX-VJ3 iPad and iPhone dock now shipping

JVC's UX-VJ3 simultaneous iPad and iPhone dock introduced in Japan earlier this month is now available in the US. Along with having enough space for Apple's tablet, the iPhone/iPod touch mount is rotatable and allows use of the device in either portrait or landscape depending on the app.

The speaker system has 30W of power, a pair of detachable satellites, and an AM/FM radio tuner, along with a 3.5mm aux-in for most other sources. It comes in either black or white. Users also get a subwoofer output, though JVC doesn't offer one specifically for the unit.

A choice of Rock, Pop, Classical and Jazz equalizer modes is present, and a bass boost feature is also there. A video output lets users connect the video sources to a TV. An alarm, clock and sleep timer are likewise built-in.

The unit is now shipping for $200.
