VCOM Control Panels for iOS

Flying Connected is offering iPad rentals in the New York City area, while IntraCom Systems has announced the launch of VCOM Control Panels for iOS devices


Flying Connected is offering an iPad rental service in New York City that provides visitors access to the mobile device for as low as $15 a day. Customers can choose between first and second generation iPad models, as well as Basic, Plus and Premium plans for each. The Basic plan provides users with a WiFi only iPad preloaded with applications, while the Plus and Premium plans offer 3G internet access and preinstalled apps, movies, books, and magazines. Arrangements can be made for the device to be dropped off at the customers hotel or at either JFK or LGA airports.

VCOM Control Panels ported to iOS devices

IntraCom Systems has announced the launch of an iOS version of its VCOM Control Panels software, which allows users to connect a mobile client to any existing VCOM system. The VCOM wireless intercom system supports up to 200 users and allows for an unlimited number of of channels configured for point-to-point, group calls, and party lines. The system can operate over WiFi or cellular data, is capable of interfacing with most major external communications systems, and has no radio frequency restraints.

    People rent cars and expensive items every day. Somehow I think this company will have figured out the security aspect of this business, like taking a credit card deposit.
