Design maintains tangle-resistant cable

Swedish headphone maker Jays has updated its a-Jays One earphones. The new One+ model maintains the same basic design, but adds a single-button inline remote and microphone that enables users to switch between music and phone calls when the earphones are connected to smartphones. The remote/mic combo is compatible with a wide range of platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry.

The One+ also features Jays' characteristic "tangle-free" flat cable, along with five pairs of silicone flanges for different ear sizes. The 16 Ohm, 8.6mm drivers are claimed to provide a frequency response of 20 Hz to 18 kHz.

The company also offers its own Android app, which allows users to add functions such as volume control and track control.

The a-Jays One+ will be available this fall for $50.
