Accessory Workshop has released the tyPad 2, an updated version of its keyboard case designed for the iPad 2, while lilipad has launched its line of kiosk products for the iPad 2


Accessory Workshop has announced the launch of the tyPad 2, a Bluetooth keyboard case designed for the iPad 2. Offered with Bluetooth 3.0 and Secure Simple Pairing, the second generation tyPad's re-engineered keyboard has an unobstructed space bar, larger dual-shift keys, Apple shortcut and command keys, and a longer-lasting battery. The new case is both lighter and slimmer than previous models and carries a retail price of $100. In addition, the company has also announced that it plans to release a limited edition tyPad 2 made from carbon fiber in December.

lilipad line of kiosk products for iPad 2 now available

lilipad, the first line of iPad kiosk products to be approved by Apple, is now available for purchase. The product lineup includes the lilipad VESA, SWIPE, STANDARD and SURFACE. Both VESA and SWIPE provide secure housings for the iPad 2, while the SWIPE also integrates a mag-stripe reader. Alternatively, the STANDARD and SURFACE are mounting options for securing the iPad to the floor, a counter-top or wall. In addition three accessories, a banner mount, keyboard mount and carrying case, are available online.
